This music was conceived, written, recorded, mixed & mastered over the course of 2 intense but amazing weeks, as the score to the video montage for the internet’s largest CG artist challenge, pwnisher’s Infinite Journeys. Watch here:

As a budding 3D artist myself, it was so very inspiring to write music to the imaginative imagery and insane skills of the top 100 artists. The result of nonstop late nights in my studio experimenting with synths, guitars, drums, etc, I did my very best to create a soundtrack worthy of all of this art.

I enlisted the help of my friend Yohei to write Japanese lyrics for me to sing, as I thought that singing in a language not native to most viewers would keep the music abstract and allow the visual art to speak for itself. Even though my grandparents all spoke Japanese, I did not grow up speaking it, so please forgive me for any mispronunciations or awkward phrasing! I also enlisted the help of my friend Francis Frances, a wizard on reed/wind instruments, who you can hear performing the clarinet, bass clarinet, and soprano saxophones on this song. Thank you to Tyler G for allowing me to use a still from his amazing winning entry as album art. And of course biggest thanks to Clint for giving me the opportunity and being the inspirational and guiding force for this piece.
